Some federal funding for a pair of local manufacturers.
Guelph’s Hammond Manufacturing and Ontario Drive and Gear in New Hamburg are receiving a combined investment of up to 6.6 million dollars from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
Hammond gets up to 3.46 million to buy equipment, improve processes, support expansion to a new facility in Guelph and make modifications at both their new and existing facilities.
The projects at Hammond and Ontario Drive and Gear are expected to create or maintain up to 165 full-time equivalent jobs.
Minister of Business and Tourism and Waterloo MP Bardish Chagger was joined by Guelph MP Lloyd Longfield at Hammond’s new facility on Wilbert Street yesterday to make the announcement.
