Power just went out this morning to over 46 hundred Hydro One customers, in a huge area stretching from Wellington County Road 22, north of Guelph, all the way south to Freelton.
Hydro One say it is still assessing the problem. No word on when the power will be restored.
But if you are one of the thousands of Hydro One customers who have been without electricity, the utility says in most cases, it’s going to late today before your power is restored.
The vast majority of the outages remaining; and there are still almost 300 individual problems, stretch from Centre Wellington and Erin, north through Caledon and Dufferin County, to Barrie.
There is a pocket on Mississauga Road, south of Erin, that still has 165 people off line.
166 customers are still without power in the town of Erin, itself.
North of Arthur, there is a large swath with 172 customers without electricity. Another 71 north of Lake Belwood.
And throughout the Grand Valley–Orangeville area there are literally dozens of small outages, affecting a few properties each.
In virtually every case, the Hydro One web site is predicting the power will be restored by 11 tonight.
The exception is a small outage at Ennotville. Hydro One estimate you’ll have your power back on by 10 this morning.
