A 39 year old Guelph man is charged with four counts of using stolen credit cards, 4 counts of fraud, and several probation charges. On Saturday, police investigated some car breakins where credit cards were stolen and later used at four businesses. On Sunday, they identified the suspect in the case.
Again over the weekend, there were a slew of break-ins.
Yesterday afternoon, residents of a home on Dormie Lane were in their back yard, when they heard a door close, and saw a man walking away. Some jewellery is missing. The suspect is white, with medium length brown hair. He wore a dark coloured jacket.
A 51 year old man is charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance, after he was busted inside the fenced compound at construction site on Chancellors Way.
And a 34 year old Guelph man was arrested following a theft from a store, downtown. Police also discovered a knife, concealed up his sleeve.
He’s charged with carrying a concealed weapon, theft, and some probation charges.
The good weekend weather brought out the thieves in droves. Yhere were at least 19 cars broken into all over the city.
And officers concentrated on speeding on Wellington Street. 17 drivers picked up tickets in the radar traps.
