Once again this year, nature lovers can enjoy a glimpse at the intimate lives of one of Ontario’s great winged predators. The osprey cam is again streaming live on the Grand River Conservation Authority website.
Manager of Communications with the GRCA Lisa Stocco says, it’s back, by popular demand.
The nest is located at Belwood lake and the camera streams 24-hours a day. A pair of osprey have occupied the nest but so far, there are no eggs.
Stocco says, you may not always like what you see, osprey are predators after all. But this does give you a look at their lives and especially the nesting and rearing of young. No eggs have been laid yet but with a pair of birds occupying the nest, officials are hopeful.
The live camera is streaming 24 hours a day.
