The City of Guelph is giving residents a chance to review and comment on a draft of its final report on the Water Efficiency Strategy update.
A number of meetings, open houses and online forums have been held since last May to elicit feedback from stakeholders and the public.
Several program and service changes are proposed. Some of the highlights include changing the Royal Flush rebate program to offer to offer a 50-dollar rebate on the replacement of toilets with flush volumes of 6-litres and up, and modifying the Blue Built Home program. Those changes would allow ANY home meeting a minimum level of water savings to be certified and qualify for rebates.
The City plans to present the updated strategy report to the Infrastructure, Development, and Enterprise committee in July.
