Phase 2 of the City’s York Trunk Sewer and Paisley-Clythe feeder main project gets underway today and that means road closures.
Gordon Street is completely closed in both directions from the Guelph Animal Hospital to the Boathouse Tea Room.
Over the next three weeks, 6 kilometres of sewer pipes are being installed.
The detour will take along Wellington then up Edinburgh and across Stone Road.
Cyclists will be able to get through the construction but will have to dismount their bikes.
Naturally, transit routes will be impacted.
Another major thoroughfare is closed today, this time for a movie shoot.
Wyndham Street from Douglas to Woolwich is closed for two days as production of the Mr. Chocolates TV series takes place.
The closure begins this morning at 7 and will be lifted at 6 Wednesday morning.
Pedestrians will be able to get through the area except when they are shooting, and 7 bus routes will be impacted.
The closure will also impact parking in the downtown at the Neeve and Wyndham lots as well as street parking in the area.
