For Taylor Swift, simply being herself is enough to “crash” a wedding — however, in this case, it was planned as one of the best wedding gifts of all time! On Saturday night Taylor surprised couple, Max Singer and Kenya Smith, who were celebrating their wedding in New Jersey to perform “Blank Space” Singer’s favorite song, during the reception.
“The surprise performance was the result of months of planning between Swift and the groom’s sister, Ali, according to People. In April, Ali wrote to Swift about the death of her and Max’s mother, telling the singer that Max and Kenya had gotten married by his mother’s bedside in the hospital so she wouldn’t miss out on the nuptials. The mother and son even danced to “Blank Space” before she died.
Following the performance, Swift posed for multiple photos with the couple and wedding guests, posting them on her Instagram.
She even made a special card for Max and Kenya, writing “So it’s gonna be forever,” with the couple’s wedding date written in a floral watercolor circle.
