Energize Guelph is a part of the provincial Healthy Kids Community Challenge, an initiative designed to make it easier for children to be active and eat healthier.
In keeping with the program’s goals, the city has launched a Park Activation Program.
Four Guelph parks will be used by program staff to offer a variety of physical activities for kids. The program is underway and goes until September and is free to the public.
- Mondays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Margaret Greene Park, 80 Westwood Road
- Tuesdays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Lee Street Park, 71 Lee Street
- Wednesdays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Orin Reid Park, 120 Goodwin Drive
- Thursdays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Exhibition Park, 81 London Road West
The City’s program is designed for anyone who wants to participate and parents and caregivers are encouraged to join in on the fun.
