If you are a Dirty Dancing fan (& let’s be real here, who isn’t?), you’ve probably thought about going to the Kellerman Resort and dancing the conga line in the gazebo, practice dancing in the lake and having a sexy somebody tell you that nobody puts you in the corner….. well, NOW YOU CAN!
While The Kellerman Resort doesn’t actually exist, the resort where a lot of the movie was filmed in 1987 does—and it’s open, waiting for you!
In the film, the Kellerman Resort was in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York. In reality, the resort is called Mountain Lake Lodge and it’s located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia.
The resort, which was renovated in 2012, is offering three Dirty Dancing-themed weekends this summer. The weekend includes a guided walking tour, dancing lessons and a watermelon toss (haha!). The cherry on top? You can even stay in the cabin where Baby and her family stayed in the film.
