Just after 11:30PM Saturday night, Wellington OPP notified Guelph Police that a stolen vehicle had fled police and was heading into the city.
City police located the car in the south end, but the male driver had fled minutes before officers arrived.
The suspect was wearing all black with a dark backpack.

Just before 1:00 yesterday afternoon Police were called to the Via Rail Station on Carden Street on reports of a man locking himself inside the women’s washroom. Turns out there was a male and female inside.
Police gained entry and arrested a 37-year-old Guelph man on charges of possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation. Police say the suspect had a small quantity of crystal meth.
Police are investigating an incident occurring sometime between 1:30am and 2:00AM this morning.
A construction mini roller had been started up on Keats Crescent and driven around before striking a garage door. The joy-rider had left the scene before arrive on scene.

Police watched a male enter a backyard and ride away on a bicycle while pushing a second bike.
Investigation revealed that neither of these bicycles belonged to the male.
Break-ins also occurred over the weekend at residences on Sultan Avenue and Home Street.
Antique Pottery and Pots were taken in from one property, while baseball hats were stolen from the other.
Guelph Police are investigating a break-in at a storage room in a Willow Road Building overnight Saturday.
The culprits stole three e-bikes. Two of the bikes were black – the other was red.

Sometime yesterday morning culprits entered a store in Stone Road Mall and stole cash.
Police continue to investigate the theft and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
A bicycle was stolen from the garage of an Applewood Crescent home over the dinner hour yesterday.
Police say the homeowner was outside doing yard work while the theft occurred.
And early this morning, someone attempted to get into a house on Couling Crescent through the back door.
But once again – the culprit had fled by the time police arrived at the home. No entry was gained.
