If you’re heading to see Keith Urban tonight at the Molson Cdn. Amphitheater, or going to CMT Music Fest in Kitchener, beware of having coffee tomorrow morning!
A new study has found that caffeine might actually hinder hearing recovery following exposure to loud noises.
What researchers found at the McGill University Auditory Sciences Laboratory was that the group of guinea pigs they were testing….. that received both caffeine and audio over stimulation recovered its hearing at a significantly slower rate than the group that just heard the audio w/o the caffeine.
Bottom line: Caffeine could well make it harder for your hearing to recover after loud events. Good luck with that 🙂
