Just after midnight this morning, Guelph police responded to a “crashing noise” in the Omar Street area.
They found two youths, running from a stolen car. The canine unit tracked them down on Bagot Street.
Two teenaged boys, 15 and 16, are charged with theft and possession of stolen property and escaping lawful custody.
The 15 year old is also charged with careless driving and driving with no licence.
Police are also looking for two youths, after a fire in a garbage bin at Ken Danby School around 8 last night.
They are 14 or 15. One had a white hoodie or jacket. The other a red jacket.
A number of break-ins around the city came to light yesterday morning, as people returned to work, or got back from holidays.
A number of lap tops were taken from a Dunlop Drive business. Keys were stolen from a construction site on Chancellor’s Way. Other construction sites on Victoria Road and Sweeney Drive were also entered.
And foot prints were followed from another construction site on Gordon Street, straight to the stolen property and other items, hidden in the bush.
