Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in Ontario women with one in eight expected to be diagnosed with the disease in their lifetime.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Program is reminding women between the ages of 50-to-74 to schedule an appointment for a mammogram.
Doctor Samantha Fienberg is the Breast Imaging Lead for the Regional Cancer Program. She says its especially important for women with a family history of breast cancer to schedule an appointment.
