This year’s goal for the Guelph Salvation Army’s Kettle Campaign is $150,000. Community and Family Services Director at the Sally Ann, Beverleigh Broughton says just over $13,000 (about 9%) has been collected since the fundraiser got underway November 19th.
All the money goes to help vulnerable people in our community through the distribution of their Christmas hampers.
In Guelph you can find kettles at Stone Road Mall and Zehrs stores.
Starting this weekend, they’ll be taking donations at LCBO stores and the north-end Walmart, and in another week or so, there will be kettles at Costco and the Walmart on Stone Road.
