Guelph Police and MADD of Wellington County teamed up last night to conduct RIDE Checks in the Royal City. A total of 885 Vehicles were checked during the program, with 5 of those being pulled aside to conduct Roadside Screening Tests. Police say 4 of the 5 tests ended with Drivers having Alcohol in their system, but not nearly enough to be operating their vehicles illegally. The fifth test involved a 22 year old Kitchener Man, who blew a Warning and had his license suspended for 3 days. Police would like to remind the Public that RIDE Programs will continue throughout the Holiday Season, and to please try and keep our roads safe.
