In an effort to prevent weather related collisions, Guelph police took it upon themselves to stop drivers, not driving according to conditions over the weekend.
160 vehicles had to be pulled over for a reminder and 108 of them were ticketed.
Despite best efforts, police responded to 24 collisions on the weekend. 11 charges were laid and 6 people suffered minor injuries.
Police also investigated 11 complaints from the public about bad driving in the snow.
One of those investigations led to the arrest of a 35 year old Kitchener man. He was spotted swerving all over the road.
A 21 year old Milton man is also facing impaired charges. Police say a car, pulled over on the side of the road with the passenger hanging out the side, losing his lunch.
Officers stopped to check on the guy. It was then when officers discovered the driver was impaired.
