The Province of Ontario is making Tuition Free for Eligible Students in Guelph and the rest of the Province.
MPP Liz Sandals announced earlier this morning during a Press Conference at the Shelldale Centre that the province in transforming the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) which will make tuition free for students whose families make less than $50,000 a year. This comes from reports of Students hesitating to apply to College or University Debt to avoid the Financial burden that follows. Students whose families earn more will also benefit from more generous grants and loans, expecting 80% of all OSAP recipients graduating with less debt. More Ontario Students are now Graduating from Post-Secondary Programs than ever before. The New OSAP will help more students seek an advanced Education, regardless of their family’s income.
By simply entering information online at www.Ontario.ca/OSAP , students will discover whether or not they are eligible for free tuition, and how much aid they can receive from new the OSAP plan.
Students applying for University or College for September of 2017, will be the first to benefit from this new OSAP.
