It was a record haul for the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital’s Black Tie Bingo.
The gala fundraiser, held Saturday at the Village By the Arboretum’s Reid Hall, netted 259-thousand dollars.
Proceeds from this year’s event will allow the hospital to replace one of its portable X-ray machines along with a number of monitor/defibrillators.
The Foundation’s CEO Suzanne Bone says the new equipment will do far more than just replace their predecessors because of its advanced technology and will greatly improve patient care at the hospital.
Black Tie Bingo has raised over three-million dollars for the hospital over its 21-years.
