Early Sunday Morning, the OPP stopped an SUV on the Hanlon. It was fairly obvious the driver was operating the vehicle without real license plates, instead colour photocopies of Massachusetts State licence plates.
When Investigating the driver the officer discovered she was under the influence and had an open container of liquor next to her. She blew a warning on a roadside screening test and further investigation determined her license was suspended and was driving without insurance. The 38 year old woman of Waterloo is facing a numerous amount of charges contrary to the Highway Traffic Act including :
Driving While Suspended, Fail to Display two plates and Fail to Apply for Permit on Becoming Owner contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. She was also charged with Operate Motor Vehicle without Insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Liquor contrary to the Liquor License Act.
She’ll appear in Court next month.
