Guelph General Hospital has named this year’s “Mary Hales Volunteer of the Year” to cap National Volunteer Week. Mary Taylor was given the recognition this year at Guelph General’s annual volunteer appreciation luncheon. Mary has been volunteering at the hospital since 1991 and to date has recorded over 19-hundred volunteer hours.
The Guelph General Hospital Volunteer Association goes back over 119 years and is constantly expanding. Currently, it has over 275 volunteers who provide support for 14 services throughout the hospital. Its volunteers contribute in excess of 17,500 hours of service each year.
