A Former player with the Guelph Storm is facing Drug Possession and Trafficking Charges following an arrest in Peterborough earlier this week. Lucas Nehrling was pulled over along with 4 other people early thursday morning, after Peterborough County OPP suspected the vehicle of trafficking on Highway 115. Nehrling has had a documented past with the law since his hockey career ended in 2002, having gone in and out of jail multiple times. Police conducted a search of the vehicle and seized drugs and a Taser inside. All occupants were charged. Nehrling played for the Storm during the 98/99 Season, and also suited up The Kingston Frontenacs and Sarnia Sting, alongside the New Jersey Devils in the NHL.
