If you’re like me, you can be exhausted on the couch after supper while you are trying watch just one more episode on Netflix, but as soon as your head hits the pillow….
The eyes are open and your head starts spinning a hundred miles an hour… work… bills… family… it all comes flooding in when you actually try to go to sleep.
I found some Life Hacks today that you might want to try to improve your sleep… try them and let me know in the comments or on our Facebook page if they work for you! If you have any other great methods for a better sleep, share them with me!
OK… here we go:
- Try the 4-7-8 rule. Exhale, then inhale for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 7 seconds and exhale for 8. Repeat. (Sounds complicated… I think trying to concentrate on that process would wake me up!)
- If your pillow is flat – put it in the sun for 30 minutes. The sun will absorb moisture and plump up your pillow.
- A glass full of lemon juice and a spoonful of honey before bed has been proven to improve your night’s sleep. (What? No mention of adding a shot of whiskey to that concoction?)
- Blink your eyes really fast for one minute. Tired eyes help you fall asleep easier. (Your family might wonder what the heck you’re doing… but hey, if it works!)
