Tuesday Afternoon, OPP responded to reports of two youths causing damage to items inside a building located on Gartshore Street in Fergus. An employee had entered the establishment and heard two female voices, and witnessed one of the two females walk over to a bag of resin and cut it open with a knife. The employee shouted at the two females who then stopped in their tracks. Police attended the scene and the investigation revealed that approximately 48 bags of the resin had been damaged, estimating the total cost of the damage at $50,000. Two fire extinguishers were also tampered with. It’s believed the two entered the building through a broken rear window. Two 14 year old girls from Fergus are charged with mischief over $5,000 and break and enter.
