It’s National Paramedic Services Week!
And the Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services are hosting free information sessions throughout the week to mark the occasion.
The sessions take place Friday and Saturday at Old Quebec Street. The Friday Session goes from 3 til 9, while the Saturday segments run from 10 til 6. Residents are invited to check out the first response vehicle, watch equipment demonstrations and get career information.
Magnets will also be given to visitors that will contain the File of Life on them. Once at home, residents can record critical medical information on the magnet and place it on the fridge, which is highly visible and gives emergency first responders quick access to a patient’s medical history during an emergency.
