Jonathan Solazzo homered and drove in four to lead the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 10-2 road win in Guelph Saturday afternoon.
Solazzo opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the first inning and hit a two-run shot in the fourth. The third baseman doubled home Zac Orchard in the ninth.
Julian Johnson had two RBI, Tyler Hardie singled three times and drove in a run, and Ryan White had an RBI. Dan Marra added two hits and scored once.
On the mound, Justin Cicatello improved to 3-1 after going seven innings and allowing two runs on eight hits with a walk and five strikeouts.
Jeff MacLeod singled twice and drove in a run for the Royals. Chris Nakashima had the other RBI. Matt Schmidt went 2-for-3 with a run.
Evan DiMichelle (0-2) took the loss, giving up eight runs on eight hits over 5.2 innings. DiMichelle walked six and struck out two.
The Royals will travel to Hamilton this afternoon to take on the Cardinals.
