More information from Wellington OPP regarding a man who fell into the Elora Gorge late yesterday afternoon.
Police say a 20-year-old male was hiking with three friends in the gorge when they attempted to climb out. They climbed almost 60 feet to the top and then realized they were on residential property on Geddes Street. When they began to climb back down, one of the hikers slipped and fell to the bottom.
The 20-year-old suffered injuries described as “life-threatening”. He was airlifted to St Michael’s in Toronto after Centre Wellington Fire were able to pull him out using ropes and a stretcher.
