Its a celebration of the culture, heritage, and notable achievements of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Peoples of Canada.
Today is National Aboriginal Day.
An Aboriginal Day celebration is being put on by the City of Guelph at Market Square today.
A variety of music, art, and dancing displays will highlight the event. Children’s activities will be offered.
And, food and craft vendors will also be on site. A territorial welcome will be offered and 10-Carden Street will host an open house for it’s Indigenous Art Show.
Carden Street is closed during the celebration but the Wilson Street Parking lot will be open.
The free event goes from 5:30 til 8:30.
