Yesterday Evening, around the dinner hour, Wellington County OPP and Guelph Wellington EMS were called to the banks of the Grand River at Bissell Park in Elora. Emergency Crews were made aware of two teenage girls that were pulled away with the water flow, after swimming upstream. According to the reports the two girls then fell 15 feet onto the concrete base. The Teens were assisted and transported to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Provincial Police remind swimmers and hikers alike to stay in the designated areas and to obey signs and notices.
