The Grand River Conservation Authority has released a second Flood Warning, and has expanded their warning to the rest of the watershed. The Township of Mapleton and The Town of Minto have declared a state of emergency due to the flooding. Several Roadways in North Wellington and Centre Wellington Township are closed due to high water flows. Other Affected Communities include the Towns of Grand Valley, Drayton, Centre Wellington and Elora, Boardwalk Shop Owners in Elora are advised as flows as expected to reach record setting highs for the first time since May of 2000. The townships of Woolwich, St Jacobs, and Elmira, as well as the City of Kitchener and the Bingemans Trailer Park have been put on notice. The City of Cambridge is being advised as well, as Highway 24 is expected to be shuttered at some point this afternoon. Water Flows in Cambridge have not been this high since 1975.
