National Trust is putting on a crowdfunding competition for much needed projects across the country.
25-communities will compete for a chance to win and also raise much needed money to restore, accommodate, and improve historic landmarks across Canada.
The “This Place Matters” competition will pit communities against one another, promoting their campaigns on social media to encourage families, friends and other residents to vote and donate towards their local projects.
A total of $220,000 in prizes is available.
The City of Guelph made the list in its efforts to restore the iconic Petrie Building on the corner of Wyndham and Macdonell Streets downtown.
