17 local students will be launching their summer businesses on Wednesday July 5th in a partnership with the province, the Business Centre Guelph-Wellington and the Downtown Business Association.
The young and upcoming entrepreneurs will be introduced along with their mentors to the community during a launch ceremony in St.George’s Market Square at 11:30 am. The program provides students with training, coaching and mentorship to help them along in the process.
The student businesses range from lawn care services to graphic designers, video photographers, to musical arrangements and cupcakes – and students will be displaying their products and selling their services at the Wednesday market after the launch ceremony.
The Summer Company Program is also proud to be working with a dynamic group of enterprising students between the ages of 15-29. Half of the students businesses are based in rural communities in Wellington County.
