With support from the Provincial and Federal Governments, Wellington County has officially opened the doors to Webster Place, a 55- unit affordable housing complex for seniors aged 55 and up.
The four story apartment building, located on Gordon Street in Fergus is ideal for seniors who prefer the small town feel of retirement while living close to amenities.
The building features 39 one bedroom apartments and eight- two bedroom units. six accessible one-bedroom and two accessible two-bedroom apartments.
The building also includes an accessible elevator, laundry facilities on every floor, and personal storage and scooter storage on each floor.
Webster Place is the 8th Project developed for Wellington County since the mid-2000s and the ninth will be opened in Palmerston in early 2018.
Wellington Halton Hills MPP, Ted Arnott was on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony, and says he was proud to give local seniors the comfort of safe and affordable housing in Wellington County.
