Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health is sending out warning letters today to patients of Guelph Dental Associates at 380 Eramosa Road.
Anyone who may have had dental work done between Jan 21st, 2015 and June 21st of this year is asked to contact their doctors about possibly getting tested for Hepatitis B, C or HIV.
The concern stems from sterilization techniques of dental instruments at the clinic not being performed up to standard.
Public Health officials are however, categorizing the risk of infection as low.
The clinic will be re-opened once all equipment is safely sterilized and up to the standards of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. Check https://wdgpublichealth.ca/ for more information.
