With today being our national holiday that means the usual list of closures and service reductions.
Its a day off for banks and most retail locations, including Stone Road Mall and Old Quebec Street.
Beer stores, LCBO outlets, and grocery stores also shuttered for the day – although many garden centres ARE open for business.
Libraries and rec centres are closed as is the Waste Resource Innovation Centre – but most wading pools and splash pads will be open.
There is no waste collection on Monday – collection is one day later for the remainder of the week.
There WILL be some transit service though…
Buses will operate on the one-hour frequency holiday service schedule but will be extended until approximately 12:15 in the morning. Shuttles will be provided between Guelph Central Station and Riverside Park. Service will be suspended between 8:45 and 11:15 p.m. to allow for the firework shuttle service.
The shuttle service will run between Guelph Central Station to Riverside Park tonight at 8:45 and 9:15 – then back from the park’s Woodlawn Road entrance from 10:00 til 11:00.
