Construction will leave some crucial downtown roads closed as of today.
The City of Guelph is doing infrastructure work to service the newly renovated Guelph Police Services Building. The sewer construction will create lane reductions on Wyndham Street, south of Farquhar Street, and to Fountain Street as well.
Wyndham will be reduced to one lane in both directions while Farquhar will be closed completely. The construction will last about a week.
The Fountain Street parking lot will remain accesible via Wyndham.
And a stretch of Arkell Road will also be impacted by sewer and water pipe construction this week.
The closure is at 65-Arkell, between Malvern Crescent and Ridgeway Ave.
Local traffic access will be maintained on Arkell, west of the closure via Gordon Street, and east of the closure via Victoria Road South.
The sidewalk on the south side of Arkell Road will be closed during construction.
