The City of Guelph will be making changes to bike lanes beginning overnight in the Gordon Street area.
Popular intersections like the one with Waterloo Ave will see the changes done first.
Bike lanes and bike boxes will be added, with the original ones painted green to become more visible to drivers. The purpose of these changes is to reduce the number of collisions between drivers, walkers and cyclists. Bike boxes are added to intersections to improve the safety of bikers turning left.
The city will also be looking for community feedback once the changes are complete.
