After a couple of knife-point robberies near Waterloo Park over the weekend, Waterloo Regional Police are reporting these types of incidents have been occurring more than usual in recent months. Police say they’ve received a larger than normal number of robbery reports and are out with a warning to the public.
Police advise those walking home during the night to stay on well-lit and busy routes on your way home and to try and stay alert to your surroundings. Also, robberies should be reported the moment it is safely possible to do so.
This helps police respond to the scene faster and it increases the likelihood of tracking down the suspect.
