The Grand River Conservation Authority will be hosting a free workshop for landowners in the Guelph and Puslinch Area, helping them learn ways to protect and attract bees and other pollinators.
The Trees and Bees workshop will be held at the Puslinch Community Centre on August 2nd from 7 o’clock in the evening to 8:30.
The GRCA says pollinators are vital for their role in food production and maintaining a healthy natural ecosystem.
Those who grow fruits, nuts, oilseeds and many vegetables require the aid of bees, butterflies, moths and other insects that help the pollination process.
The workshop will aim to provide information on the importance of pollinators, explain the pollinator life cycle, and how landowners can improve their habitats on rural properties.
Registration details can be found in the Events Calendar on the GRCA website or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
