Construction Work begins today on Wilson Street. This work leads up to the eventual parkade to be built by Guelph City Hall.
Construction crews will be working for the next several weeks to upgrade underground water and sewer pipes on Wilson from Northumberland Street to MacDonnell.
Curb, gutters and sidewalks will also be re-built in the area.
The Parking lot on Wilson Street will be closed for four weeks for the project.
Pedestrian access to downtown businesses will be maintained, however transit routes 5,8,and 9 will be detoured.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of October.
