The Provincial Government will be investing $44,413 towards the improvement of Affordable and Sustainable housing in the City of Guelph.
MPP Liz Sandals made the announcement this morning at the Royal City Housing Co-Operative.
The funds will be generated from the Province’s Green Investment Fund, which looks at fighting climate change by investing proceeds from its carbon market.
The money will go towards the improvement of the units in this social housing building, by installing ductless air source pumps in units to supplement baseboard heating. Which in the long run will lower energy costs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve the day to day lives of its residents.
