Health Canada is recalling 16 styles of liquid-filled iPhone cases due to reports of skin irritation and chemical burns if they crack or break open.
There were over 11,000 of these cases sold in Canada between October 2015 and June 2017. The Chinese-made units were sold at Victoria’s Secret retail stores, online and at airport duty-free shops.
The cases all have cutsie names like Star Glitter, Leopard Snow Globe and Lip Snow Globe. They contain liquid and glitter that float inside the plastic case and should the case get punctured in any way, the liquid could actually harm you.
So far Health Canada hasn’t had any reported injuries however there have been 19 reports in the U.S.
