Wellington County OPP have arrested two individuals believed to be behind recent bank robberies in Milverton and Drayton. Perth County OPP responded to a call on Main Street in Milverton on July 25th, while Wellington County OPP responded to a robbery at an RBC location in Drayton August 1st..
In both cases police say an unknown male entered the banks with a weapon while wearing a disguise, demanded cash and fled on foot.
After both robberies, OPP obtained surveillance video, shared their findings, and stopped the accused early Saturday morning. Police say the two suspects were found to be responsible for another incident occurring in Brampton as well.
A 45 year old man and 19 a year old woman, both from Brampton, are charged with two counts of robbery with a weapon, while the elder suspect is also charged with disguise with intent, and pointing a firearm.
They will both appear in a Stratford court for bail hearings.
