Wellington County OPP received a traffic complaint on Saturday evening about a pickup truck travelling down County Road 7 near Sideroad 16 in Mapleton Township.
Officers located the driver and observed clear signs of alcohol consumption. Following a roadside screening test which resulted in a fail, The 25 year old driver of Guelph was arrested and charged for operating his vehicle with Over 80.
Then a few hours later on Sunday morning, OPP received a second complaint, this time regarding a vehicle on Highway 6 near Puslinch. After speaking with the 50 year old man of Brantford, who was parked in a lot, they arrested the man for impaired driving and brought him back to a nearby OPP detachment for further testing.
Both of these drivers have lost their license for 90 days and their licenses for a week and will appear in court next month to answer the charges.
