Four drivers, in their early twenties, were charged with impaired this weekend.
Two drivers Saturday and two on Sunday.
On Saturday night around 7:15 p.m. 26 year old Travis Wright from Georgetown was driving a Chrysler Sebring at a high rate of speed in the area of Gordon and Wellington Street where he was stopped by officers and charged.
About an hour later a 22 year old man, Bronsen Pronk from Fergus, was charged after he was found impaired at the intersection of Edinburgh Road and College Avenue, stalled in his Honda Civic.
Early Sunday morning (1:40am) on Elizabeth Street a red Mazda was seen driving erratically. Officers stopped the driver, who failed his roadside test, and the 21 year old Guelph man, Azizbek Egamberdiyev, was charged accordingly.
Officers then charged a 20 year old Guelph man, Austin Hoekstra, with impaired after officers saw a pickup truck trying to help him pull his blue Audi back onto the roadway around 2:30 a.m. in the morning.
All of the accused are due in court to answer to their charges.
