A stolen Chevy Silverado pickup truck was recovered early this morning by the Guelph Police.
They were called to the area of Delaware Avenue around 12:30 a.m. where a resident reported a suspicious vehicle.
Police identified the vehicle as having been the pickup stolen from a Tim Horton’s parking lot on August 25th.
Police approached the running vehicle and the driver tried to flee on foot but was quickly caught and arrested.
A 34 year old Guelph man is facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, possession of a prohibited weapon (knife), and failing to comply with probation and an undertaking.
He was held in custody and is due in bail court today.
