The Guelph Police were called to a north end bank in the city when a woman tried to open an account with out-of-province identification.
Employees were suspicious of the woman and got the police involved yesterday afternoon.
A brief investigation by officers revealed the woman was not who she was presenting herself as. She was arrested.
The 22 year old, from Mississauga, is facing 12 fraud related charges including identity theft, uttering forged documents, obstructing police and possession of identity documents.
She was held in custody and set to appear in bail court today.
