Richard Nixon may well have been the most dishonest politician of all time. It would be foolish and more than a little naïve to say he was the only one. Several years after being deservedly chased out of the job as President of the United States, Nixon agreed to the famous interviews with David Frost. The most famous statement he made about his long list of Watergate crimes was to say that “when the president does it, that means that it is not illegal." In other words, he believed he was above the law.

There have been many grand and generous gestures made to show support for the people and the city of Boston. Recent tragic events have prompted some to do some amazing things, many related to the Bruins and Red Sox and their home games. One of them was Neil Diamond’s appearance at the Red Sox game on Saturday. He and his wife flew to Boston and showed up unannounced to ask if he could lead the singing of his classic (and Red Sox 8th inning tradition) “Sweet Caroline.” The answer was obviously, yes. He walked out, decked in a Red Sox hat and thrilled the crowed when he announced that he “brings love from the whole country.” He led the crowd in a fabulous rendition of the song: a great moment.
