Sometimes we have bad days. We all do. Sometimes we get judged and ridiculed and made to feel less of ourselves, because of certain things. And its unfortunate that people in this world, thrive on making others feel that way. But you know what? Thats them, and not you. Its hard to sit back while people treat you or others this way, and you wonder, why must they do that? But, you must rise above, and know that you are a good person, and it is very sad for others to feel such a way where they must hurt others to feel good. Makes no sense right. So this week, Helene Campbell, the double lung transplant recipient from Ottawa, gave a press conference to talk about her recovery. She is recovering fairly, and had a lot of wonderful things to say about staying positive, and moving forward, and being grateful. One reporter asked her, in so many words, if she ever thought of giving up. Of course she did, but then she remembered she had so much support, and so much to look forward to. Her words of encouragement to others waiting on donor lists, was to keep being strong. Such advice can apply to anyone, and I think thats part of the reason Helene is such an inspiration. We must all be strong, when the world seems to knock you down. Remember, its not the whole world. The world doesn't control you. Helene says "I can take a shower standing up -- that is the best thing I've been able to do in a long time." We should all be so grateful fo such little things. Thank you Helene, for putting a brighter perspective on things.

Have a fantastic weekend!! Be happy and have fun, and be safe.

    Hi Jennifer
I'm just discovering your blog and really liking it. I used to live in Guelph but now I reside on beautiful Prince Edward Island but I continue to listen online. I have a request to make for Thursday morning if possible.
My grandson, James Dennison, who lives in Guelph with his mom and dad and brother and sister, is travelling to Cooperstown Dreams Park in Coopertown New York on Friday to participate in a massive ball tournament. He and his team mates - the Guelph Royal Minor PeeWee Tier 2 team are very excited about their week in New York, as are their coaches, especially Coach Greg. As I'm not there in person, please wish James and his team the best of luck and have lots of fun. From James' Grandma in PEI
